What is Private Home Care?

The Senior Company provides high-quality nursing and companionship services in the comfort of your own home. Home care services are designed to help with the recovery and prevention of hospitalization, chronic conditions, and assistance with activities of daily living. We create a plan of care customized to meet everyone’s specific needs and wants.

Who will be providing care?

The caregivers at the Senior Company are compassionate and experienced home health care professionals. Our staff includes skilled registered nurses (RN) and certified home health aides (CHHA). Our supervising RN works closely with our staffing coordinator to match each home health aide with the client based on personality and habits to ensure satisfaction.

What are the costs associated with home care?

Costs are determined by location, level of care, and schedule. Our Care Managers are available 24/7 to discuss the costs associated with your needs.

How do I pay?

We accept payments via ACH, Credit Card, Check, or Long-Term Care Insurance.

Our Services

Do you only provide care in the home?

No, we provide care in many environments including hospitals, skilled nursing facilities and assisted living communities.

Do you provide live-in or hourly services?

Yes, we provide both of those services. We work with you to determine the best schedule to fit your needs.

Why should I use an agency?

Agencies are insured to protect you from liability of accidents and negligence. Agency licensing and accreditation holds us to a higher operating standard, including hiring, monitoring, care standards, and our internal process which aims to protect our clients. Agencies also keep enough staff to fill in if your caregiver needs time off or has an emergency. All our clients and caregivers are overseen by our Registered Nursing staff.

Who do I call if I have an issue?

Your Care Manager is available to you 24/7. As a backup, our office is on call 24/7 to answer any questions.

Caregivers

What if we are not happy with the person you send?

While we aim to make the best personality and clinical match, if you are uncomfortable with a caregiver, we can make a change at any time.

Do you provide training to the caregivers?

Yes—our main office is equipped with all the necessary training equipment to not only help confirm a caregiver’s specific skill sets, but to help them brush up on a need they may have not cared for recently.

If the nurse were concerned about the presence of a developing health issue, would they inform me before making a decision?

Any health concerns or changes to the plan of care will be discussed with the client and the client’s health care power of attorney. The RN will keep close contact with both and will be available for any questions or concerns that you may see as well.

What if my caregiver needs time off or is unavailable?

We would offer to fill the shift with a temporary replacement. Even for the short term period, we make sure the caregiver is an appropriate match and they are briefed on your specific care plan.
